Joining R&Y in 1981, Alistair had previously worked on various private commissions and with several reputable Adelaide architecture practices. In his early days with the team, he managed residential projects, but transitioned quickly to more complex health, education and commercial commissions as the practice expanded its community portfolio in the 90s. He joined John Held as a Director in 2000 and has since cultivated an industry-wide reputation for construction and contracts knowledge, particularly in the highly technical field of health facilities design.
