The last lunch

The last lunch

We gathered for lunch as an office on Friday last week to mark Alistair’s last days with the team, but also to thank Vouch Lim, who is leaving us after 13 years with the practice.

Vouch has been a veritable one-person institution within our team, bringing her strong work ethic, ready laugh and passion for sharing food since joining R&Y in 2009.

We have celebrated together and learned from Vouch’s culinary skills under the banner of “Vouch’s Kitchen” a few times a year since that first year – notwithstanding pandemic lockdowns – and these contributions to our strong office culture cannot be understated.

Much loved by clients as well as by her colleagues, Vouch’s affable, can-do attitude is her trademark.

Vouch has contributed to and overseen a wide variety of education, health and aged care projects across her time with R&Y. Among these, the 2020-completed Copperhouse Court Aged Care facility development in Whyalla is a standout for its size and complexity, and for its contribution to community.

We are incredibly sad to see Vouch go, but we thank her for her service and hope this won’t be the last Vouch’s Kitchen we get to host at R&Y.
